In Germany we have a saying:
“Man soll aufhören, wenn’s am schönsten ist”
This is really used everywhere, where in english you would say things like these
- “Quit while you are ahead”
- “Go when the going’s good”
- “Stop at the top”
- “Finish on a high note”
